GEO rubber-track drill rig working beside a northern Ontario shoreline

Environmental, geotechnical, and construction drilling across Ontario

GEO matches the rig, method, and tooling to the formation, target depth, recovery and testing requirements, and site constraints.

  • Mud rotary, augers, and down-hole hammer
  • Limited-access and low-clearance rigs
  • Sampling, coring, and monitoring wells

Ontario drilling since 1991

Proven depth and limited-access work

Comprehensive environmental, geotechnical, and various specialized drilling solutions backed by experienced crews and modern equipment.

Rock coring depths reached
465 ft
Mud rotary borehole depths reached
320 ft
Headroom for low-clearance CME 55
3.91 m

Drilling capabilities

Different ground calls for different methods.

We match the method to the ground and the work. Then we match the rig to the room you’ve got.

GEO crew advancing a hollow-stem auger borehole

Hollow-stem augers

For soil and overburden programs that include sampling or in-situ testing.

Mud rotary drilling returning cuttings from a borehole

Mud rotary and casing advance

For variable formations that need fluid or casing to stabilize the borehole.

GEO geotechnical drilling setup used for bedrock coring

Soil Coring and Bedrock Coring

For Drilling investigations that require a continuous core sample.

GEO crew working a borehole with rotary tooling

Air rotary or down-hole hammer

A fast and efficient method for when geological samples are not needed.

What GEO can recover, test, and install

  • Soil samples and recovered rock cores
  • SPT and other specified field testing
  • Packer, televiewer, CPT, and PMT support
  • Monitoring wells and soil-vapour probes

Drilling Equipment

Open site, low headroom, or no road in. GEO has you covered.

Our versatile fleet is built to handle tight spaces, remote locations, and the toughest site constraints.

GEO truck-mounted CME drill rig staged in the yard

Truck-mounted rigs

For open sites with a suitable route and enough room to position the truck.

GEO low-clearance CME 55 set up in a restricted work area

Low-clearance CME 55

For restricted sites with at least 3.91 m of headroom.

GEO rubber-track drill rig on a transport trailer

Rubber-track rigs

For sites where tracked access is more practical than a truck-mounted rig.

Portable drilling rods and split-spoon sampling equipment

Portable or Pionjar equipment

For locations with limited mobility, working room, or equipment access.

Coordinated field scope

Locate, clear, then drill when the site needs all three

When the project calls for it, GEO can coordinate private locating, daylighting or borehole clearance, and drilling as one scope. These services are planned to suit the site; they are not automatic parts of every drilling program.

  1. Locate

Trace and mark private utilities where the public locate does not cover the work area.

  2. Clear

Daylight marked utilities or clear the planned borehole where the scope requires it.

  3. Drill

Mobilize the selected rig, method, and tooling for the investigation.
